As part of our commitment to being involved in our community, KPG Creative provides pro-bono production services for JDRF. This project was the opening video for their main fundraising event, the Cincinnatian of the Year gala. 1500 people attend the event. The theme of the night was “Superheros for a Cure”.
We concepted out an opening video based on the JDRF superhero character fighting the T1D (type 1 diabetes) villains. Throughout the video, we stylized photos of JDRF Youth Ambassadors in their own superhero costumes and blended the action of our fictional crime fighter with the photos of our real disease fighters.
This video set up a night of performances, presentations, a live auction, and another video from KPG Creative profiling the lives of four families with T1D. By the end of the evening, JDRF had raised a record $1.4 Million for ongoing research into Type 1 Diabetes and the search for a cure.
